This is the dumbest bullshit I’ve ever seen. Camel is marketing their cancer sticks in 10 “hip” locations across the country, and of course Williamsburg is a prime destination.
I’m sure this seemed clever when some RJR ad execs in Nebraska thought of it, but it just seems so outdated. It might have been cutting edge in 2003, but now it just reeks of desperation. Everything about it sucks, from the concept to the ad copy to the artwork. Just all around awful.
What would Don Draper do, guys? Surely he wouldn’t dare attempt a promotional tie-in with Joe Camel standing, for some reason, on N. 4 and Kent.
